About Merritt & Associates
After working on the Western Slope in various construction capacities for more than forty years, Merritt Sixbey and Brian Holton formed Merritt & Associates G.C., Inc. in 2008. Taking a risk when many contractors were closing their doors Merritt & Brian started the company with the intention of supplying a high-quality product at a fair price. Opening the company in the middle of the recession right as the housing bubble hit its lowest point, they understood that in order to succeed, they needed to gather a team of like-minded individuals. Together they hired a management team possessing more than one hundred years of combined construction experience that believed in what Merritt & Brian wanted to achieve.
Before turning his focus toward commercial construction Merritt developed numerous subdivisions and homes throughout Mesa County. In the last five years, we have remodeled homes, completed the Strive and Grand Junction Chrysler remodels, constructed multiple private residences, and constructed a 64,000 SF metal manufacturing building. Our experience gives Merritt & Associates an advantage over other contractors. We recognize the minute details that go into commercial construction and ADA requirements that will need to be considered. Our longevity and experience on the Western Slope have allowed us to develop extremely strong relationships throughout the local construction and non-profit community. Our partners include numerous Mesa County-based subcontractors, architects, engineers, and philanthropic organizations.
