Now is the time to protect your home (and heating bill) from unnecessary heat loss.
Drafts under the doors can be blocked using draft guards, which fit under the bottom of the door.
Insulation film is a great winter product for adding an extra layer of protection to your window glass.
Use weather-strip taping around the outside of your windows to keep pesky gusts from blowing in around the frame.
For larger gaps around windows doors and siding, use caulking.
Your hands are great draft finders—just run them around your window and door frames on a cold day. Or if you prefer to use technology, you can pick up an air leak sensor at the hardware store.
